The Claas Markant knife shim is used to set the position of the baler knife. With the right number of shims, the knife works at the correct clearance and cuts cleanly.

Compatible models: Claas Markant 50 balers. Send us your baler model: we confirm the match before shipping.

Specifications: three-hole steel plate, marked 803 836.

OEM part number: 803836.

Part sold under the Valmy France brand. Please state the quantity: shims are stacked according to the setting required.

A poorly shimmed knife cuts badly and wears quickly. Shims let you restore the correct setting without reworking any parts.

Identifying your Claas Markant shim

This shim bears the part number 803 836. Compare the spacing of the three holes and the thickness with the shims already fitted. If in doubt, send us a photo from the contact page: we check before shipping.

Fitting it correctly

Chock the baler and stop the PTO. Loosen the knife, add or remove shims to obtain the required setting, then retighten the bolts. Turn the baler by hand to check that nothing rubs.

Why choose Valmy France

We work directly, at a fair price, and these shims are ordered in batches. See also the Claas Markant baler knife and our other harvesting parts.
