The Claas Markant baler knife gives a clean cut of the crop during baling. When blunt or chipped, it cuts badly, bales form less well and the baler strains more.

Compatible models: Claas Markant 50 balers. Send us your baler model and serial number: we confirm the match before shipping.

Specifications: steel knife with fixing slots, marked Valmy France and 803 385.

OEM part number: 803385. This knife is different from plunger knife 808523.

Part sold under the Valmy France brand. Think of the 803836 knife shims too: we can include them in the same quote.

A baler that cuts badly uses more power and produces uneven bales. Knives in good condition and properly set make all the difference during the harvest.

Identifying your Claas Markant knife

This knife bears the part number 803 385. Compare the length, the shape of the tip and the position of the fixing slots with the old part. Do not confuse it with plunger knife 808523. If in doubt, send us a photo from the contact page.

Fitting and adjusting it

Chock the baler and stop the PTO before any work. Fit the new knife with bolts in good condition, set its position with the shims, then tighten. Turn the baler by hand to check that nothing rubs.

Why choose Valmy France

Our knife is machined from the original part. We also work directly, at a fair price. See also the Claas Markant knife shim, the Claas plunger knife and our other harvesting parts.
