The Kuhn double tedder tine picks up and spreads the forage with every turn of the rotor. When bent or broken, it tedds poorly and can end up in the crop.

Tines work close to the ground and take knocks and stones. A tired tine bends, tedds less well, then breaks: better to replace it beforehand.
Identifying your Kuhn tedder tine
Measure the length of the tine and the wire diameter, then count the coils on each side. Also compare the winding direction, as some tedders use left-hand and right-hand tines. If in doubt, send us a photo of the old tine from the contact page.
Fitting it correctly
Chock the machine and stop the PTO before any work. Fit the new tine the same way round as the old one, with bolts in good condition, then tighten properly. Replace neighbouring tines at the same time if they are bent.
