The large Deutz oil nozzle sprays oil under the piston to cool it. When blocked or damaged, it lets the piston overheat, with a risk of seizure.

All about this part
On an air-cooled engine, the piston runs very hot. The oil nozzle helps it cope: if it gets blocked, the piston can seize.
Identifying your Deutz nozzle
This large nozzle fits Deutz F4L 912 engines. Compare its length and the shape of its tip with the old one, and note the part number engraved on it. If in doubt, send us a photo from the contact page.
Fitting it correctly
Clean the housing, fit the nozzle with a new O-ring and point its outlet the same way as the old one. Replace all the nozzles together during an engine rebuild.
