The Deutz pushrod tube seal seals the tubes protecting the pushrods, between the block and the cylinder head. Hardened or crushed, it lets oil weep down the engine: the leak makes everything dirty, and the oil level drops.
Compatible models: Deutz F3L 912, F4L 912, F6L 912, FL 913, BF4L 913 and BF4L 914 engines, as well as FL 712 and FL 812. They are fitted notably to Cirta C4006, C6006 and C6807 tractors.
Specifications: O-ring fitted at the top and bottom of each pushrod tube, so two seals per tube.

An oil leak along the pushrod tubes seems harmless, but it dirties the whole engine and lowers the oil level. Replacing the seals fixes the problem for a long time.
Identifying your Deutz pushrod tube seal
This seal fits Deutz air-cooled engines of the 912, 913 and 914 series, as well as the 712 and 812. Count two seals per tube, one at the top and one at the bottom, and one tube per valve. So a 4-cylinder engine generally needs 16 seals. If in doubt, send us the engine type from the contact page.
Fitting them correctly
Remove the rocker cover and the rocker shaft, then take out the tubes one by one. Then clean the seats on the block and on the cylinder head without scratching them. Fit the new seals lightly oiled, without twisting them. Finally, set the valve clearance before closing the engine.
