The Deutz starter pull control operates the glow plugs and then the engine start. When it is stiff, no longer returns or makes intermittent contact, the engine starts badly from cold.

The Deutz starter pull control operates the pre-heat and then the start. When it is stiff or makes intermittent contact, the engine starts badly, especially in cold weather.
Identifying your Deutz starter pull control
This pull control fits Deutz 05 and 06 series tractors, from the D 4006 to the D 13006, as well as Cirta tractors. Check your tractor model and the number of terminals at the back of the old pull control. In doubt? Send a photo from the contact page.
Replacing it without mistakes
First disconnect the battery. Then photograph the wiring before taking it apart, and reconnect each wire to the same terminal. Finally, check the glow plugs: a new pull control doesn’t make up for a burnt-out glow plug. The Deutz-Fahr wiring diagram remains the reference.
