The Deutz rear crankshaft oil seal seals the crankshaft output, on the clutch side. Once hardened or worn, it leaks engine oil, which can reach the clutch disc and make it slip.
Compatible models: Deutz F4L 912 engines, notably on Deutz D 4506, D 5506 and DX 3.10 tractors.

An oil leak between the engine and the clutch often comes from this seal. Replaced in time, it stops oil from reaching the disc and making the clutch slip.
Identifying your Deutz oil seal
This rear crankshaft seal measures 115 × 140 × 13.5 mm. It fits Deutz F4L 912 engines, notably on the Deutz D 4506, D 5506 and DX 3.10. Measure the old seal before ordering. If in doubt, send us the dimensions from the contact page.
Fitting it correctly
The seal is replaced with the gearbox split from the engine. Clean the housing and the crankshaft sealing surface without scratching them. Lightly oil the lip, then press the seal in perfectly square, with a suitable tool. Take the opportunity to check the clutch.
