The Deutz release bearing presses on the clutch cover to disengage when you push the pedal. A worn bearing whistles or squeaks when disengaging, then ends up locking the clutch.

Fitting the release bearing without surprises
Take the opportunity to check the disc, the clutch cover and the clutch fork that pushes the bearing. Then clean the guide tube and lightly grease it, without overdoing it. Finally, adjust the pedal free play to the values in the Deutz-Fahr workshop manual: too little free play keeps the bearing in contact and wears it early.
