The differential splits the torque between the two rear wheels. When the spider wears, play increases and the pinion teeth get damaged in turn.
Identifying your Deutz differential spider
This ring-shaped part carries two journals on which the planet pinions turn. Compare the diameter of the journals and of the ring with the old part, and note the part number engraved on it. If in doubt, send us a photo from the contact page: we check before shipping.
Fitting it correctly
Check the planet pinions, side gears and thrust washers at the same time. Refit the parts clean and oiled, then check the differential play. Finally, fill the axle with fresh oil.
